While you are racing

There will be sufficient water points on route with approximately one point every 30 kilometres. There will be snacks and drinks at each point. Riders are encouraged to carry their own drinks on their bikes and some food just in case. We aim to make our points as special as possible and will have First Aids Kits, communication systems should you require assistance and massage options as well as lubrication for bicycles.


When you finish racing for the day

Squirt will provide a Bike Wash and Lubrication Bay after each day of racing FOR FREE FOR ALL competitors!

There will be registered, adequately trained Massage staff available at the race village each day at the race finish. There will be a Bike Park sponsored by S&J Hiring with a dedicated security guard from Plett Security.

TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE: Tech Zone offer technical assistance for the three day stage race and you can contact
JP van Zyl or Saretha directly for details at info@recycles.co.za to book services. A full race check for the 3 day event will cost R995.00 and bookings in advance are recommended.

Weather on the Route

Please be prepared for rain, cold or hot weather. The event takes place at a time of the year where weather can be unpredictable in the Southern Cape.


At the Race Village

Dinner will be served at the Race Village for all competitors from the evening of Wednesday 20th September and LUNCHES will be provided to the riders on Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd September as well as on  Saturday 23rd September at Kay and Monty Vineyards. There will also be a vegetarian dish option available and all Meals will be prepared by a professional local catering company. There will be coffee / tea and snacks available at the venues before the start but riders are encouraged to eat breakfast at their accommodation before coming to the venue this year.

DINNERS will be available TO PURCHASE as a fundraiser for the Wittedrift School on Thursday and Friday evening if you are staying at the school. Please email reservationswittedrift@gmail.com to book your two course dinner at the cost of R100.00 = before the 15th August.


Book a massage

Oxi Health in Plett will have a team of massage therapists at the Dr Evil Event. If riders wish to book a massage they can contact the team on adt@lincx.co.za – sports massage operating hours: Wednesday 20th September 15:00 to 18:00, Thursday 21st – 11:30 to 18:00 on Friday 22nd – 12:00 to 18:00 Saturday 23rd – 11:00 to 14:00.


Kinesiology On and Off site

Karen Evans and Johan Delport are a team of kinesiologists who use muscle testing, body alignment skills to bring your tired muscles, injuries ,mental, emotional,chemical and physical imbalances into balance, Relieving stress of tendons and ligaments and allowing the body to flow in its natural state of harmony. They will be offering half hour sessions at the Dr Evil Race Village at R200.00 per session.
